Mount Hope Environmental Impact Statement Preparation

Integral staff integrated data from hydrologic, geochemical, and ecological risk studies to develop various alternatives and assess their related water quality impacts at the proposed Mount Hope molybdenum mine in Eureka County, Nevada. This work included assessing groundwater chemistry, potential impacts of waste rock disposal (both acid generating and non-acid generating), tailings disposal, and pit-lake geochemistry.  The detailed chemistry and risks associated with arsenic, lead, molybdenum, selenium, and zinc were evaluated in this project spanning from fate and transport analyses to the risk assessment stage. This work was compiled for the environmental impact statement for the Mount Hope mine, which later received its final record of decision.
