Analysis of Biomonitoring Data for a Chemical Company

Integral analyzed community-level data on perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) to assess the validity of assumptions applied by a state agency in the development of groundwater quality criteria. Relative bioavailability of different PFAS compounds was estimated based on individual-level results combined with survey data on residential tenure and historical water distribution rates. The relative source contribution of drinking water was estimated, taking into account the distribution of background levels of PFAS reported by the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey program. Results were presented to the state and its public advisory committee.
