Ward Cove Investigation and Remediation
Integral scientists conducted sediment assessment, remedy development, regulatory negotiations, and public communication for the Ward Cove site in Ketchikan, Alaska. A realistic risk assessment demonstrated the absence of unacceptable risk to humans and limited risks to the benthic community, which in turn supported an innovative sediment remedy involving thin capping (27 acres) and natural recovery (53 acres).
