Kara R. Scheu, Ph.D.

Dr. Kara Scheu is a physical limnologist and oceanographer specializing in physical mechanisms that drive sediment and contaminant transport. She has 7 years of experience with field measurements and instrumentation, data analysis, and hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling. Dr. Scheu has coordinated complex field deployments measuring hydrodynamic and sediment transport, and analyzed large data sets.

Nicole Ott

Nicole Ott

Ms. Nicole Ott is an environmental scientist with more than 20 years of consulting experience, focused on characterization and remediation of media at sediment and upland CERCLA and Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) sites impacted by PCBs, dioxins/furans, PAHs, and metals. She specializes in leading teams that develop allocation strategies and expert reports using forensic evaluations, sediment transport studies, and historical research. She also has extensive experience evaluating natural recovery and recontamination potential in sediments. Ms. Ott is a detail-oriented and well-organized leader, motivating her multi-disciplinary project teams, thoroughly compiling relevant information, scoping projects, directing data acquisition and presentation, interpreting results, and communicating findings to clients and other parties.
