Climate Change: David Revell Serves on Panel at Global Wave Conference

Integral Principal David Revell, Ph.D., will contribute to a panel on climate change and its global impact at the 6th Biennial Global Wave Conference on February 10–14, 2020. Held at Southern Cross University, Queensland, Australia, the conference theme is international ocean conservation and sustainable solutions.

Bringing together environmental scientists and members of the surfing and conservation communities, the conference will explore solutions to the world’s most challenging ocean issues—including the protection of waves, oceans, beaches, and marine ecosystems.

A coastal geomorphologist known for his work in helping California cities and counties evaluate and manage sea level rise and beach erosion, Dr. Revell will participate in the February 12 panel session on climate change. Dr. Revell will also present “Improving Surf Ecosystems Today, Adapting to Climate Change Tomorrow, and Recovering from Disasters” on February 11. An avid surfer, Dr. Revell will share lessons learned from the world surfing reserves in California.
