Coupled Aquifer Restoration and Water Reuse and Application of Sustainable Remediation Solutions
By Avram Frankel, P.E., Managing Principal, Business Director, Investigation and Remediation
As more regions across the US and globally feel the effects of climate change, strained water supply and increased demand, the coupling of aquifer restoration and water reuse will only grow as a key tool to address water security challenges.
While combining groundwater extraction and treatment with water reuse has been implemented successfully for decades, there are opportunities for expansion of these efforts to sustainably enhance reliable water supply for people, agriculture, and industry. In addition, advances in both site remediation and aquifer management approaches will continue to significantly enhance project applications especially with regard to combined remedies.
In this webinar, our Avram Frankel, P.E. discusses opportunities and challenges with increasing integration of groundwater remediation and reuse strategies to provide a range of economic, social, and environmental benefits, and present results from Integral’s evaluation of reuse on NPL sites to date.
“Coupled Aquifer Restoration and Water Reuse – The Continuing Evolution of an Integrated Solution” is hosted by REGENESIS Remediation Solutions – Corporate as part of their summer webinar series.
