Spooked about Chemicals? Paul DeLeo Explores Trends in TSCA Assessment on Oct. 31

Not all chemicals are frightening. As part of the amended Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), potential health impacts from exposure to various chemicals can be predicted and your risk reduced. Integral Principal Paul DeLeo, Ph.D., will explore key trends related to exposure assessment under TSCA in an October 31, 2019, webinar, which is the fourth in a series on TSCA sponsored by the law firm Wiley Rein.

In the webinar “Worker and Human Exposure: How You Can Change ‘Lack of Information’ Outcomes,” Dr. DeLeo, along with Wiley Rein partners Martha Marrapese and Erik Baptist, will challenge and encourage participants to become more engaged on the exposure side of the risk equation. During the webinar, Dr. DeLeo will present lessons learned from risk evaluations that were released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and will examine some of the key trends and precedents regarding occupational and consumer exposure.

Dr. DeLeo is a scientific professional whose focus over the past two decades has been on applied research and regulatory and public outreach related to the human and environmental safety of food ingredients, pesticides, pharmaceutical and personal care products, and cleaning products. His professional interests span broad areas related to product stewardship and the sustainability of formulated consumer products and their ingredients.

Integral supports clients in responding to regulatory requirements regarding the risk evaluation of existing chemicals under TSCA.
