Soil, Water, Energy, and Air: Integral to Present at AEHS in San Diego

Scientists from Integral Consulting Inc. (Integral) will present on topics ranging from risk communication to groundwater management at the Association for Environmental Health and Sciences (AEHS) Foundation’s 29th International Conference on Soil, Water, Energy, and Air.  Held in San Diego, California, on March 18–21, 2019, the conference facilitates the exchange of information on technological advances and new scientific achievements.

On March 19, Sean Culkin, P.G., C.H.G., will present a series of case studies on coastal aquifer dynamics, saltwater intrusion, and groundwater management. For those interested in the latest developments in risk communication, Integral Principal Bridgette DeShields will chair a March 20 risk session and present an overview of California’s emerging risk communication issues.

Well screen being installed to inhibit casing corrosion and prevent saline water from entering the well.

During a Wednesday poster session, Stephen Sherman, P.G., will present on well evaluation and replacement for the Humboldt Community Services District—a project that addressed concerns about water salinity.

On March 21, Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council (ITRC) guidance for ecological risk assessment of total petroleum hydrocarbon mixtures will be presented. Mala Pattanayek of Integral is an ITRC member and a key contributor to the recent guidance.
