Integral Consulting Welcomes New Hires to Toxicology, Health, and Ecological Sciences Practice

Integral is pleased to announce two new staff in our expanding Toxicology, Health, and Ecological Sciences practice:  Stan Pauwels, Ph.D., and Stella Wang.  

“Both bring an exciting new suite of experiences and capabilities to our team,” said Ann Bradley, Senior Consultant. “With Stan’s extensive scientific and regulatory experience in eco-risk issues, and Stella’s versatile skill set in quantitative data analysis, we look forward to their assisting clients on a variety of projects, including litigation support and ecological and human health risk assessment.” 

Stan Pauwels, Ph.D., joins Integral as a senior consultant.

Stan Pauwels, Ph.D., has joined Integral as a senior consultant based in our Portland, Maine, office.  A senior ecological risk assessor and ecotoxicologist, Dr. Pauwels has 30 years of experience using the ecological risk paradigm to support decision-making across a range of environmental issues.  His multidisciplinary experience includes ecotoxicity testing, field sampling, biological monitoring, statistical analyses, experimental design, and baseline ecological risk assessments.  Dr. Pauwels has participated in several high-level expert work groups, including the South River Science Team, which designed, reviewed, and critiqued the large baseline ecological risk assessment and monitoring programs for mercury in the South River.  Earlier in his career, Dr. Pauwels provided expert technical support to Exxon affiliates on issues related to oil spill response, site remediation, and the ecotoxicity of crude oil, dispersants, fuels, chemicals, and waste streams.

Stella Wang joins Integral as an associate scientist.

Stella Wang has joined Integral as an associate scientist based in our New York City office.  She recently earned her master’s degree in environmental management with a concentration in ecotoxicology and environmental health from Duke University.  During the summer of 2019, Ms. Wang held an internship at Integral where she contributed to a number of human health and ecological risk assessment projects and research assignments.  Ms. Wang also has experience in quantitative data analysis and literature-based research projects.
