Integral Consulting Inc. (Integral) is expanding its engineering and environmental services in Hawaii by welcoming Principal Dennis Poma, P.E., to the Waipahu office near Honolulu.  An on-call consultant at Integral since 2009, Mr. Poma brings more than 30 years of environmental and civil engineering experience.  He will lead Integral’s growing practice in Hawaii.

Mr. Poma specializes in environmental investigation and remediation, regulatory compliance, pesticide and hazardous waste investigation, sustainability, and wastewater engineering. He is well versed in EPA, OSHA, and DOT laws and regulations with extensive knowledge of hazardous substances, water, and waste regulations. He has participated in more than 50 multidisciplinary environmental compliance assessments and site inspections worldwide.

As part of his wastewater practice and dedication to his community, Mr. Poma has helped design more than 100 wastewater systems to ensure clean drinking water in areas throughout Hawaii that are in crisis due to lack of proper sewer systems. He also assists residents and businesses in permitting and inspection of upgrades to building sites and properties.

Mr. Poma’s clients include private industry, federal installations, electric utilities, independent power producers, construction companies, developers, and local municipalities.  He provides expert witness support on cases involving pesticides and other environmental contaminants.

Mr. Poma earned a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a B.A. in liberal arts from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
