Cheryl Hapke Coauthors USGS Publication on Coastal Cliff Erosion Tool
Integral Senior Consultant Cheryl Hapke, Ph.D., is a coauthor of a new tool and accompanying user guide that she helped to produce during her time as a research geologist at the U.S. Geological Survey. The Cliff Feature Delineation Tool and the Baseline Builder Tool use an automated, quantitative approach for delineating 3-dimensional cliff features, instead of relying on cumbersome manual methods used to interpret sea cliff features. Designed to increase the efficiency of deriving sea cliff features from remote sensing data sets, these tools eliminate traditional interpretive methods and ensure reproducibility.
