Integral Consulting Cosponsors “Women in Environment” Event in Portland

As part of its commitment to the professional development of women in the environmental field, Integral Consulting Inc. (Integral) is cosponsoring a Women in Environment (WIE) networking event at Perkins Coie in Portland, Oregon, on July 12, 2018.  The event will be held from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. and will offer networking opportunities to both women and men. Integral Vice President Laura Jones will attend, along with other Integral technical staff.  Ms. Jones has been a member of WIE since the group was first established in Portland in 2009.

“Integral is proud of our track record of women holding key leadership positions within our company, throughout our history.  Our support for WIE extends this commitment by providing additional opportunities for women in environmental careers to network, share experiences, participate in mentoring opportunities, and develop professionally,” said Integral President Bill Locke, P.E.

A Northwest-based organization, WIE’s mission is to further professional development for women in the environmental field.  Integral Senior Consultant Mala Pattanayek along with Project Engineer Carolina Zuri, have helped lead the mentorship program for the WIE organization in San Francisco, while Principal Hydrogeologist Linda Baker has mentored for WIE in Seattle, Washington.

Nearly half of Integral’s technical staff are women, holding key positions as toxicologists, ecologists, chemists, environmental scientists, hydrologists, geologists, marine scientists; and civil, environmental, and water resources engineers.
