Bio

Ms. Jamie Del Pozzo is an environmental professional with a diverse field and administrative background in environmental remediation, biology, environmental compliance, and biological consulting. She has experience implementing mitigation measures to comply with environmental documents—such as an environmental impact reports/statements and biological assessments—that address state and federal Endangered Species Act, habitat conservation plans, California Environmental Quality Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, National Environmental Policy Act, mitigation and monitoring plans, Section 404 and 401 of the Clean Water Act, and 1602 Streambed Alteration Agreements, as well as other related codes under the California Department of Fish and Game.

Ms. Del Pozzo has conducted numerous biological surveys in support of energy projects throughout California, with species-specific surveys for western burrowing owl (Athene cunicularia hypugea), red-legged frog (Rana draytonii), Swainson’s Hawk (Buteo swainsoni), nesting birds for compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and numerous sensitive and rare plants in California. She also has experience working with various vegetation communities and many other sensitive species throughout Southern and Northern California.

Environmental Monitoring

Construction Environmental Review, Caltrans District 4, California — Helps ensure compliance with water quality environmental requirements and Section 401 certifications. Reviews discharge permits, SWPPPs, and other water quality protection documents to ensure implementation of avoidance and minimization and mitigation measures. Reviews project preparation and reporting requirements and prepares project completion and annual reports.

Northgate Environmental Management, Oakland, California — Performed field inspections of sites on a gas transmission project to ensure permit conditions were being maintained, provided oversight of specialty environmental monitors, coordinated between contractor and client, performed reporting and administrative requirements, trained crews on environmental awareness, conducted field sampling of soil and water, attended weekly construction meetings, and handled miscellaneous duties and environmental needs of the construction team as assigned.

Biological Consulting and Monitoring, San Francisco, California — Serves as an on-call biologist and environmental scientist, working for multiple clients to conduct environmental inspections and construction monitoring for environmental compliance. Performs compliance monitoring and associated reporting, conducts biological and nesting bird surveys, compiles and submits required deliverables, and acts as a communication point for client and performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Stormwater Management

Stormwater Inspections, San Francisco, California — Oversaw five restoration project sites throughout the San Francisco Peninsula Watershed. Performed field inspection and reported on multiple work packages throughout the project, conducted field inspections of sites to ensure that conditions of permits were being maintained, oversaw specialty environmental monitors, coordinated between with environmental construction compliance manager and regional environmental compliance manager (RECM) as necessary for compliance issues, acted as a liaison between construction personnel and agency field representatives, reported onsite environmental issues, reviewed safety and environmental management daily reports, conducted quality assurance inspections, oversaw coordination of pre-construction surveys, and assisted RECM with processing of minor project modifications (including field review, photography, and mitigation recommendations).

Regulatory Compliance

Environmental Coordination, San Francisco, California — Served as environmental coordinator for a renewable energy transmission project. Provided coordination between client and contractors regarding all biological, environmental, and archeological issues; scheduling; mitigation compliance; compliance with permits pertaining to the project; and all communication.
