Installed weather stations and adjusted air sampling locations using wind direction and site meteorological data. Ensured regulatory compliance and receptor safety through continuous ambient air quality monitoring.
Former Industrial Site, Northern New Jersey Executed real-time perimeter air monitoring during remedial soil excavation using telemetry-enabled systems integrated with an onsite meteorological station to monitor dust and volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations. Assessed potential fugitive emissions to ensure protection of offsite receptors in accordance with regulatory requirements and project-specific air quality action levels. Collected ambient air samples for laboratory analysis to supplement real-time data and support the evaluation of cumulative site-related air impacts. Contributed to data interpretation and compliance reporting to support safe, compliant execution of remedial activities.

Groundwater Monitoring

Superfund Site, Northern New Jersey Coordinated groundwater and surface water sample collection from more than 200 monitoring locations spanning an industrial park, residential neighborhoods, and former municipal water supply wells. Led the installation of overburden and monitoring wells in deep fractured bedrock to support comprehensive site characterization and remedial investigation activities. Contributed to a multi-month groundwater study involving pressure transducer monitoring at more than 50 locations to evaluate aquifer response under pumping and non-pumping conditions. Utilized GIS-enabled field tablets for real-time tracking during synoptic water-level gauging and sampling events to ensure data integrity and field efficiency. Collaborated with third-party consultants, facility managers, and federal and municipal agencies to secure site access and coordinate scheduling throughout RI/FS phases.
Active Chemical Manufacturing Facility, Northern New Jersey Managed routine groundwater monitoring programs using both low-flow and passive sampling methods (e.g., HydraSleeve™) across overburden and bedrock monitoring wells, including FLUTe-lined bedrock wells (installed to monitor chlorinated solvent-impacted groundwater at multiple depths in fractured bedrock) and onsite production wells. Conducted free-phase product recovery and monitoring from a well impacted by dense nonaqueous-phase liquid as part of an interim remedial strategy. Coordinated collection of surface water samples in conjunction with groundwater events to evaluate potential impacts to a stream transecting the site. Generated groundwater elevation contour and chemical isoconcentration maps to evaluate plume delineation and remedial system performance. Authored remedial action progress reports, technical memoranda, and regulatory submittals in compliance with NJDEP technical requirements for site remediation.
Former Chemical Facility, Central New Jersey Characterized vertical groundwater contaminant profiles using open-hole borehole geophysics and HydraSleeve™ sampling. Managed the installation of targeted overburden and bedrock wells and the annual sampling and reporting under NJDEP protocols. Completed data analysis, data reduction, and remedial action reporting.
Former Chemical Facility, Central West Virginia Coordinated a groundwater sampling team for the collection of samples from monitoring wells across a former chemical manufacturing site. Performed groundwater monitoring to assess the effectiveness of engineering controls, including a sheet pile containment wall and passive Tree-WellTM systems designed for phytoremediation and groundwater control. Ensured that field documentation, equipment calibration, and sampling methodologies met regulatory and project-specific data quality objectives.

Groundwater Remediation

Groundwater Treatment System, Northern New Jersey Collected operational data and water quality parameters to support performance monitoring and regulatory reporting for a granular activated carbon (GAC) system treating contaminated groundwater for discharge compliance. Completed sampling and monitoring programs to evaluate flow, pH dosing, and breakthrough trends. Used analytical data on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance concentrations to guide GAC replacement decisions, optimizing treatment efficiency and minimizing system downtime.

Sediment Investigation

Former Industrial Property, Northern New Jersey Led sediment sampling efforts to delineate PCB impacts from legacy discharges associated with a historical industrial mill and raceway system. Directed a field team to collect sediment samples from former flume structures, from river transects, and beneath a highway right-of-way using multiple collection techniques tailored to site conditions. Characterized the nature and extent of sediment contamination along the affected river corridor to inform remedial planning and support regulatory reporting requirements.

Vapor Intrusion

Phase II Environmental Due Diligence, National Portfolio (Tech Sector), United States Conducted subslab, near-slab, and indoor air sampling at commercial and industrial properties across more than 10 states to evaluate potential vapor intrusion risks and support environmental due diligence. Developed and implemented SOPs to ensure consistent, high-quality data collection and reporting across diverse site conditions. Delivered nationwide staff training on vapor intrusion sampling protocols, field instrumentation, and health and safety best practices to support companywide compliance and data reliability.
Active Chemical Manufacturing Facility, Northern New Jersey Investigated an active chemical plant for vapor intrusion risks associated with shallow groundwater contamination. Used portable gas chromatograph (FROG-5000TM) and a photoionization detector to identify in real-time VOC source areas. Supported implementation of mitigation strategies, including slab sealing and HVAC enhancements.

Site Assessment

Multinational Technology Client, Nationwide Performed Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in support of leasehold and property acquisition due diligence. Conducted intrusive investigations—including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling—to identify recognized environmental conditions and controlled recognized environmental conditions. Authored detailed, client-ready reports with data interpretation and actionable recommendations to inform environmental risk management and transaction decisions.
Commercial Property Acquisition, Southern New Jersey Conducted a due diligence investigation to evaluate potential environmental impacts associated with a previously identified underground storage tank of unknown contents. Performed targeted soil and groundwater sampling and coordinated laboratory analysis to assess potential contamination. Interpreted analytical results and compiled findings into a client-facing report to support real estate acquisition decisions.

Site Investigation

Former Dry Cleaners, Central New Jersey Led soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigations at a chlorinated solvent-impacted site located in a densely populated urban area. Oversaw the implementation of membrane interface probe technology for real-time soil characterization and delineation of VOC impacts. Installed soil borings and collected more than 200 soil samples to identify and delineate source areas, thereby supporting refinement of the site’s conceptual site model and informing targeted remediation strategies. Directed the installation of shallow and deep groundwater monitoring wells to delineate the offsite migration of chlorinated solvents in shallow and deep aquifers. Collected sediment and surface water samples from an adjacent waterbody to assess potential impacts and evaluate downstream contaminant transport. Contributed to data analysis and reporting to support remedial planning and regulatory compliance.
Former Industrial Property, Central New Jersey Led a comprehensive soil and groundwater investigation at a former industrial facility to support site characterization and evaluate potential contaminant migration. Directed site clearing operations to access more than 100 investigation points that were cleared for potential subsurface utilities, surveyed, and marked for subsurface sampling.
