Bio

Mr. Max Busnardo is a senior restoration ecologist and principal in Integral’s San Francisco Bay Area office. He specializes in ecosystem restoration, wetland and riparian ecology, and climate adaptation strategies. Mr. Busnardo has more than 30 years of experience leading interdisciplinary teams through more than 250 multi-benefit projects for both public and private clients. He leads projects through all phases of the ecological design process from alternatives development to design, through permitting, construction, and long-term monitoring. His restoration experience covers a variety of California habitats―riparian, tidal wetland, freshwater wetland, freshwater pond, oak woodland and chaparral/coastal scrub. Mr. Busnardo is also expert in the restoration of contaminant/landfill/mining remediation sites. For more than 15 years, he has worked on multi-benefit projects that address anticipated sea level rise impacts and strengthen climate adaptation resiliency.

Prior to joining Integral Consulting, Mr. Busnardo was a principal and vice president at H. T. Harvey & Associates where he worked for 30 years.
