Mr. John Quigley is an associate engineer with a focus in environmental engineering and 1 year of experience in environmental consulting. He has experience in cost estimating; hydrological modeling; groundwater, soil, and soil vapor sampling; and designing systems for the treatment of drinking water. He has an educational background in bioremediation and ecology, and his responsibilities have involved assisting in the drafting of export reports, GIS analyses of heavy metal contamination, and cost analyses.
Relevant Experience
Environmental Engineering
Colloidal Activated Carbon (CAC) Injections, Denver, Colorado — Served as field engineer for the injection of CAC for the treatment of groundwater contaminated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Coordinated with drilling and injection staff for the implementation of remediation.
CAC Injection Pilot Testing, New Jersey — Served as field lead and field engineer for the pilot testing of CAC for the treatment of groundwater contaminated with PFAS. Measured water quality parameters to monitor the effectiveness of the injections.
Site Investigation
Groundwater Investigation, Denver, Colorado — Served as field engineer for the investigation and measurement of the presence and extent of PFAS in groundwater. Analyzed data from field samples for tabulation in drafted reports.
Groundwater, Soil, and Soil Vapor Investigation, Minneapolis, Minnesota — Served as field engineer for the investigation and measurement of the presence and extent of petroleum, heavy metals, chlorinated solvents, and other contaminants of concern. Analyzed data from field samples and drafted reports for submittal to the state pollution control agency.
Phase I Site Assessments, Minneapolis, Minnesota — Supported Phase I assessments through site reconnaissance. Contributed to the Phase I assessment reports through the review of historical documents and imagery.
Litigation Support
PFAS Litigation Support, United States — Supported analysis, document review, and data tabulation for an expert opinion regarding PFAS litigation. Drafted cost estimates for the treatment of PFAS in drinking water systems.
GIS Analysis
Heavy Metals Assessment, Butte, Montana — Used GIS software for the analysis of heavy metals contamination and extent of impact. Characterized regions of contamination based on the dominant metal type.
Site Investigation and Soil Remediation
Construction Quality Assurance for Soil Remediation, Guánica, Puerto Rico — Served as a field engineer for the management of contaminated soil removal. Coordinated with construction crews and local residents for an efficient remediation process.
