Bio

Mr. Jake Mount has 2 years of experience in environmental site remediation and 3 years of previous experience as a geotechnical geologist. His duties included inspecting environmental factors on various construction sites and conducting onsite tests such as compaction, sampling, and probing. He performs Phase I and II field observations, screening the results and any other pertinent field information for residential, municipal, and commercial properties. Mr. Mount has field experience conducting soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations in New Jersey, including assisting with groundwater sampling of residential groundwater wells and conducting subslab vapor sampling.

Remedial Investigation

Landfill Remediation, Chester, Southampton, and Washington Townships, New Jersey — Performed onsite monitoring and construction oversight for numerous landfill sites. Tasks included performing reading on vents to ensure worker safety onsite, taking perimeter reading to track offsite conditions, and monitoring imports and exports to site.

Construction Oversight Lakehurst, New Jersey — Managed the placement of onsite material for a laydown area for the installation of solar arrays. The work ensured that the cap on site was protected during the construction process.

Industrial Inspections, Trenton and Phillipsburg, New Jersey — Performed numerous biennial certification inspections for sites. Work included onsite inspections of current conditions to ensure cap protection and maintained site conditions.

Soil Gas Monitoring, Livingston, New Jersey — Performed biweekly subslab soil gas system monitoring. Work included taking readings from subsoil soil gas system along with draining water from a soil vapor extraction well on site to verify system operation.

Site Investigation

Soil Boring Sampling, Scotch Plains, New Jersey — Assisted with the collection and logging of soil boring samples to support an investigation of site conditions.

Groundwater Sampling, Industrial Site, New Jersey — Assisted with groundwater sampling from groundwater monitoring wells to support a PFAS investigation.

Data Analysis

Landfill Remediation Reporting, Chester, Southampton, and Washington Townships, New Jersey — Completed various daily and weekly projects while reporting directly to the client. Information was used for the final closing report.

Exceedance Data Analysis, Trenton and Newark, New Jersey — Analyzed and compared site data for various compounds to New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection standards to determine which contaminants had exceedances.

Historical Data Analysis, Trenton and Newark, New Jersey — Collected, tabulated, and analyzed historical data from local, state, and federal government entities as part of report writing for a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment.
