Ms. Jade Heckman combines a background in environmental science with experience in public and environmental health to support healthier and safer environments. She has experience in industrial hygiene monitoring and reporting, exposure assessment, and hazard identification. She also has experience in environmental sampling and research, including field studies and community engagement on environmental health issues. Her professional interests are centered around the intersection of public health and environmental issues, particularly those related to occupational exposures, environmental contaminants, and climate change.

Industrial Hygiene and Exposure Science
Industrial Hygiene Program Development, Various Sites, Pennsylvania — Assisted with the development of a corporate industrial hygiene program by conducting hazard identification, creating sampling plans, sampling, and authoring exposure assessments to create objective quality evidence. Assisted in improving laboratory processes and equipment handling as well as conducting chemical inventories.

Environmental Sampling, East Palestine, Ohio — Conducted soil, tap water, and in-home air sampling at the homes of residents affected by a large transportation-related contaminant release to the environment as part of a large research project.
Environmental Health Investigations
