Bio

Mr. Garrett Mansfield is a geologist with 3 years of experience who specializes in federal and state agency compliant sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, biosolids, and soil vapor. Mr. Mansfield is familiar with methodologies for sampling PFAS compounds, chlorinated solvents, and light nonaqueous-phase liquid (LNAPL). In addition to sampling, he has experience in air quality monitoring, as well as geological and pedological interpretation. Mr. Mansfield also has experience with geographic information systems (GIS) software to interpret data and create models using spatial analysis and other modeling software.

PFAS

PFAS Investigation, Alaska — Supported a large-scale PFAS investigation and performed soil boring and monitoring well installation using direct push, air rotary, and sonic drilling techniques for the collection of multi-media samples.

PFAS Groundwater, Soil, and Biosolids Sampling, Delaware — Performed soil, biosolids, and groundwater sampling using slide hammer Geoprobe boring techniques to assess PFAS concentrations.

PFAS Investigation, New Jersey — Supported a large-scale PFAS investigation and supervised monitoring well installation using sonic drilling techniques for the collection of multi-media samples.

Groundwater Monitoring

Groundwater Level Monitoring and Sampling, Superfund Site, New Jersey — Deployed and collected data using continuous data loggers related to an aquifer drawdown test. Performed low flow groundwater sampling in accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection technical regulations.

Groundwater Modeling

LNAPL Bail-down Testing, Delaware — Completed product gauging and bail-down testing on wells for a LNAPL treatment site. Collected and analyzed data to determine LNAPL transmissivity and complete geospatial analysis for LNAPL plume using GIS software.

Natural Attenuation Modeling, Superfund Site, New Jersey — Modeled the natural attenuation of a chlorinated plume using GIS software and BIOCHLOR modeling.

GIS Analysis

GIS Mapping, Multiple Sites, United States — Created location maps, site maps, and hydrologic analysis using ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro software.

Vapor Intrusion

Vapor Intrusion Assessments, Connecticut — Performed subslab soil vapor sampling.

Indoor Air Sampling, Washington, DC — Performed ambient air sampling within a large multiuse building complex.

Soil Vapor Sampling, New Jersey — Completed subslab soil gas sampling according to state requirements.

Vapor Barrier Installation, Pennsylvania — Supervised subslab soil vapor intrusion barrier installation and smoke test.

Groundwater Remediation

In Situ Bioremediation, Superfund Site, Pennsylvania — Operated an in situ bioaugmentation remediation system treating groundwater impacted by chlorinated hydrocarbons.

In Situ Remedial Injections, Delaware — Oversaw in situ remedial injections for a benzene contaminated site.

Geophysical and Soils Investigation of Subsurface, Pennsylvania — Oversaw geophysical investigation for gas main replacement and soil sample collection.

Large School District Water Testing, Pennsylvania — Conducted a lead in drinking water sampling program that involved the inventory and sampling of drinking water outlets across hundreds of locations on behalf of the largest school district in Pennsylvania.
