Mr. Damon Williams is an environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professional with more than 20 years of EHS experience. He started his career as an industrial hygienist in the chemical industry and expanded his skill set to achieve a comprehensive EHS background. Mr. Williams’s previous experience has been within the chemical and oil industry, and he has obtained two prestigious certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP).


Health And Safety

Chemical Manufacturing, EHS Management, LaPlace, Louisiana Responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing environmental, medical, industrial hygiene, safety, and emergency response programs for a chemical manufacturing plant. Managed, led, and oversaw the development of department personnel. Ensured successful implementation of new corporate and business initiatives, programs, software, and systems. Provided expertise to the organization on various litigation cases. Interacted with facility management to achieve an agreeable outcome in the implementation of new company initiatives and procedures. Developed and coordinated environmental, health, safety, and emergency response training. Acted as the company point of contact for the community, regulatory agencies, neighboring facilities, corporate and business resources, and facility audits. Oversaw compliance required for the facility to maintain operating permits and management systems such as OSHA Voluntary Protection Program, Responsible Care, ISO 14001, and Process Safety Management (PSM). Chemical Terminal, Regional EHS Management, North and South America Developed, maintained, reviewed, and improved regulatory compliance guidance for facilities in North and South America. Advised and guided local facility management on compliance topics. Audited facilities for compliance with environmental, health, safety, security, emergency response, and quality requirements. Acted as main point of contact for customers on product stewardship, labeling, chemical handling, and other EHS-related items. Served as the regional representative on a corporate management team that developed company policies and procedures. Acted as global primary point of contact for compliance communication between local facilities and the global corporate office.
