Stormwater Management

Implementation of the Los Cerritos Channel Watershed Coordinated Integrated Monitoring Program (CIMP), Los Angeles County, California Participates in wet- and dry-weather monitoring in support of the Los Angeles Regional municipal separated storm sewer system (MS4) NPDES permit. Responsibilities during storm events include collecting grab and composite samples, processing subsamples, and collecting in situ water quality measurements. Installs, maintains, and removes long-term sampling equipment at multiple sites at the start and end of the storm season. Additional duties include maintaining and calibrating monitoring equipment as well as conducting field data quality control checks in support of report preparation for regulatory compliance.
Implementation of the Lower Los Angeles River and Lower San Gabriel River CIMPs, Los Angeles County, California Participates in watershed monitoring to meet the Los Angeles Regional MS4 NPDES permit and total maximum daily load requirements. Conducts wet- and dry-weather sampling, installs and maintains monitoring equipment, and assists with the deployment of remote telemetry systems to support storm-triggered sampling. Performs field operations in alignment with health and safety protocols and conducts hydrologic data quality control checks in support of report preparation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Upper San Gabriel River Enhanced Watershed Management Program, Los Angeles County, California Participates in daily field operations across multiple sites in support of compliance with the Los Angeles Regional MS4 NPDES permit under the Upper San Gabriel River CIMP. Supports wet- and dry-weather sampling events, programs and maintains automated samplers and field equipment, and ensures adherence to permit protocols. Assists with field data quality control and reporting.

Groundwater Monitoring

Groundwater Sampling and Monitoring, Tesoro Golden Eagle Refinery, Pacheco, California Performed groundwater sampling and site monitoring activities at an active oil refinery to support ongoing environmental compliance and remediation efforts. Conducted low-flow groundwater sampling from monitoring wells, measured water quality parameters in the field, and maintained accurate documentation of site conditions and sampling procedures. Ensured adherence to strict health, safety, and environmental standards while coordinating with laboratory personnel to verify analytical results.
