The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, engaged Integral staff to help update the state’s 2005 Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy (State Wildlife Action Plan). Work included writing new and updated species accounts for terrestrial, aquatic, and marine Species of Greatest Conservation Need, incorporating species vulnerability assessment research, updating the Statewide, Marine, and Island Conservation Needs chapters, and preparing a SWAP revision road map and summary of changes. Integral staff also contributed to the update of Hawaii’s 2010 Forest Action Plan, revising nine conservation issues and management strategies and incorporating new climate change, legislative, and forest market information into the plan’s landscape-level priority assessments.
