Integral staff ecologists in the Sacramento Valley office assisted The Nature Conservancy with preparation of an Integrated Management Plan for the 37,500-acre Dye Creek Preserve, part of an unfragmented landscape linking the Sacramento Valley with Mount Lassen and the Sierra Nevada. Through a collaborative planning process, the team developed recommendations guiding TNC in cataloging and monitoring Preserve resources, enhancing and restoring sensitive habitats, improving livestock grazing management and the Preserve’s hunting program, and updating measures to minimize the impacts of operations and maintenance on sensitive resources.
