Cristy Rice

Bio

Ms. Cristy Rice is a senior wildlife ecologist in the Sacramento Valley office. She has more than a decade of experience as a broadly trained wildlife ecologist and consultant. Ms. Rice has managed numerous large projects in the transportation, utility, solar, land-management, and public sectors. She is well-versed in working with a range of special-status species in California, such as California least tern and other special-status marine birds, sea turtle species, special-status marine mammals, special-status marine fish species, California red-legged frog (CRLF), steelhead trout (STT), and burrowing owl (BOUW).Cristy also provides advanced innovative tools for each project she works on, with tools such as Smartsheet, Survey123 and Field Maps by AGOL, and Microsoft tools such as Vizio and Power Automate. In addition to Ms. Rice’s professional experience, she has an educational background in marine biology, focused on marine wildlife, and has conducted and presented award-winning research on the morphological and genetic characterization of pipefish. Considerable knowledge of marine wildlife species, primarily in southern California with experience in San Francisco Bay.
Ms. Rice leads large project teams and contributes her wildlife ecology expertise to client projects. She ensures project deliverables are produced efficiently and accurately. Ms. Rice manages large transportation projects, large renewable projects, regulatory permitting, and special-status population surveys, impact analyses, and habitat assessments. She also coordinates with clients and regulatory agencies, prepares biological resource reports, permit applications, biological assessments/evaluations, and natural resource management plans, and stewards processes to obtain regulatory permits.
Prior to joining Integral Consulting, Ms. Rice was a senior wildlife ecologist and project manager at H. T. Harvey & Associates.
