Product Risk Assessments for Proposition 65 Compliance

Integral provided toxicology, exposure assessment, and human health risk assessment services to an international paper manufacturer to verify its compliance with California’s Proposition 65 Rule. Using the latest research and guidance documents, we worked with our client to estimate potential concentrations of Proposition 65 compounds in soon-to-be-manufactured consumer paper products. Integral also assessed potential worker and consumer exposure to evaluate risks and potential effects. As part of this task, Integral used state-established no significant risk levels (NSRLs) for listed chemicals, and developed NSRLs if needed. For this effort, Integral applied procedures consistent with Proposition 65 guidance to ensure that labeling requirements were adequately addressed. The study’s conclusions showed that labeling or notification was not required for these products.
