In a recent article in Happi magazine, Integral Principal Paul DeLeo, Ph.D., describes how to identify vulnerabilities of product ingredients in an era of increasing transparency and shows how to get ahead of recent trends by developing proactive internal chemical management strategies. A former associate vice president of the American Cleaning Institute (ACI), the trade association for the $30 billion U.S. cleaning products industry, Dr. DeLeo has decades of leadership experience and stellar professional and academic credentials. He has directed a $500,000+ annual research budget supporting the human and environmental safety of cleaning product ingredients and developing tools to further advance the science for assessing consumer product ingredient safety. He currently leads Integral’s product stewardship practice. Prior to his tenure at ACI, Dr. DeLeo held positions at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for 8 years evaluating the human and environmental safety of food additives and drugs.
