Marine Energy: Integral to Present at Waterpower Week in D.C.

Contributing to leading research in marine energy, Integral Consulting Inc. (Integral) scientists will deliver poster and platform presentations, chair a session, and sponsor a workshop on wave energy research at the 2018 Waterpower Week in Washington, D.C. The annual Marine Energy Technology Symposium (METS) is held as part of Waterpower Week on April 30–May 2, 2018. This premier industry event is filled with opportunities to network, learn about legislative and regulatory initiatives, and discuss the issues impacting the hydropower and marine energy industry.

Waterpower WeekGrace Chang, Ph.D., will serve as a session chair and a presenter, while Kaus Raghukumar, Ph.D., Brandon Sackmann, Ph.D., and Samuel McWilliams, E.I.T., will present on various topics, including improved site characterization for marine renewable energy projects, development of a new acoustic monitoring technology, and cost-effective mapping tools for marine and hydrokinetic (MHK) environmental assessments. In addition, Integral will cosponsor a workshop with Sandia National Laboratories that describes work being performed by Sandia, Integral, and others for the U.S. Department of Energy on MHK projects.
