Integral Scientists on Technical Team for New Marine Energy Permitting Toolkit

By Craig A. Jones, Ph.D., Managing Principal, Business Director, Marine, Coastal, Climate, and Technology Services
Grace Chang, Ph.D., Senior Science Advisor, Technical Director, Marine Sciences and Engineering

Integral Consulting scientists Craig Jones, Ph.D., Grace Chang, Ph.D., Neil Swanson, and Caleb Grant are technical leads for the new MHK Environmental Toolkit for Permitting and Licensing.  Aimed at reducing the amount of time and cost to permit and license marine energy projects, the easily accessible, online Toolkit is being developed through the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.

Distilling scientific knowledge from world-class experts, the Toolkit is a new and exciting effort in support of renewable energy. Members of the marine energy community are invited to join and offer feedback on the development of the Toolkit.

Sign up for webinars in February and March!

By integrating relevant regulatory, scientific, and spatial data, the Toolkit will provide a usable format to decrease the time and resources required to complete permitting documents and environmental assessments.

Other team members include Kearns & West, EcoQuants, European Marine Energy Centre, Electric Power Research Institute, H.T. Harvey & Associates, Sandia National Laboratories, Ocean Renewable Power Company, and Pacific Energy Ventures.
