Erin Palko, senior consultant at Integral Consulting Inc., was recently featured in New Jersey Business for her volunteer efforts to support the arts in New Jersey. Ms. Palko, a licensed geologist and licensed site remediation professional (LSRP), was recognized for her contributions to The FAF Coalition, which “champions initiatives rich in arts, culture, and sustainable design as a catalyst for community development and economic revitalization.” As a volunteer, she has contributed to revitalizing an empty lot in downtown Woodbury and transforming it into a vibrant community gathering place. Ms. Palko is also known for her work in managing remedial investigations and remedial actions at industrial sites in New Jersey and across the United States. In addition to her volunteer work in the arts, she serves on industry associations including the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council, a coalition of state regulators, industry representatives, and national technical leaders working to facilitate the use of innovative environmental technologies to reduce compliance costs and maximize cleanup effectiveness. She is serving her second year on the Characterization and Remediation in Fractured Rock technical team. Ms. Palko is also a member of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association, where she is a member of the steering committee and the communications committee, and serves as the co-chair of the college outreach committee. In addition, Ms. Palko represents the Chemistry Council of New Jersey in two stakeholder groups evaluating changes to the groundwater quality standards rules in New Jersey.
