Ms. Rachel Mignona is a scientist with 5 years of experience performing groundwater, surface water, soil, and sediment sampling for a wide variety of projects. In addition to environmental sampling, she has experience with soil logging, leading site investigations, writing reports and permit applications, and managing cases for clients. She is proficient in LogPlot and ArcGIS, and is currently developing skills in Leapfrog and RockWorks. Ms. Mignona has also previously performed industrial hygiene surveys and air monitoring for asbestos, lead, and mold abatements.

Environmental Monitoring
Water Quality Compliance Monitoring, New York — Conducted water quality monitoring and assisted with data collection to meet compliance guidelines for a New York State permit. Collected water samples using a Niskin grab sampler for chemical analysis and recorded water quality information such as pH, conductivity, and turbidity using a multiparameter water quality meter.
Surface Water Sampling, Berry’s Creek Study Area, New Jersey — Field lead for surface water sampling efforts to support data collection and OPTICS implementation for further characterization of the Berry’s Creek sampling area. Obtained field measurements and collected surface water samples for multiple water contaminants, such as heavy metals, PCBs, and pesticides. Oversaw logistics with laboratory bottleware and equipment deliveries onsite and assisted with training other personnel.
Groundwater Sampling
Quarterly Groundwater Sampling for PFAS Investigation, New Jersey — Site safety officer and field lead for quarterly groundwater sampling of PFAS across a large monitoring well network. Responsibilities include managing field teams, coordinating laboratory bottleware and equipment deliveries, ensuring sampling is completed in a safe and timely manner, and reviewing data following the receipt of laboratory analytical results.
Sitewide Gauging and Sampling Events, Active Refining Facility, New Jersey — Assisted with the quarterly data collection of soil and groundwater in association with environmental compliance efforts at an active refining facility.
Site Investigation and Soil Remediation
PFAS Remedial Investigation, New Jersey — Collects environmental samples and assists with data evaluations in support of PFAS investigations. Prepares technical documents and provides litigation support.
Soil Delineation Investigations, Northeastern New Jersey — Conducted the re-drilling and soil sampling of multiple retail petroleum stations in response to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s updated soil remediation standards.
Site Management for Global Petroleum Corporation, New Jersey — Assisted with the site characterization and remedial permitting for multiple retail petroleum stations throughout New Jersey. This included organizing field events, drafting remedial action permits, and analyzing field data.
