Laura Jones
Managing Analytical Chemist
Ms. Laura Jones is an analytical chemist with 19 years of experience specializing in environmental investigations, environmental analytical chemistry, and QA/QC data review and validation. She is responsible for the development of sampling and analysis plans, data interpretation, and the development of quality assurance programs for federal Superfund and RCRA sites as well as for sites within various state regulatory programs. Ms. Jones is responsible for project management for a variety of projects and QA/QC program development for in-house projects and external clients. She has developed quality assurance procedures and guidance for several large industrial clients for use at multiple facilities around the nation to ensure the development of consistently high quality analytical data in various regulatory frameworks. She has authored numerous SAPs and QAPPs that comply with federal or state regulatory programs and take into account unique data quality objective requirements of specific projects.
Ms. Jones is responsible for project QA/QC management, which includes negotiating appropriate project specific QA/QC programs with state and federal agencies. She has also developed analytical protocols and conducted laboratory audits for several federal and state-led Superfund and RCRA sites. As an analytical chemist, Ms. Jones has provided assistance on several projects related to the analysis of environmental, biological, and food samples for speciated arsenic compounds; low-level mercury analysis in tissue, groundwater and surface water; and the evaluation of analytical techniques for lead and manganese speciation in effluent.
