Marcia Greenblatt, Ph.D., P.E.
Senior Managing Hydrologist
Dr. Marcia Greenblatt is a water resources engineer specializing in hydrodynamic, water quality, and sediment investigations, including development and application of numerical models, and data analysis and presentation. Dr. Greenblatt has designed and performed several modeling studies, applying both simple and complex numerical models, to predict hydrodynamic flows, sediment erosion, transport, and deposition, and water quality. She has performed numerous modeling studies for mixing zone evaluations to support NPDES renewals as well as operational evaluations, with several of these studies focused on thermal discharges. She tailors the mixing zone evaluations to the specific study needs, and her projects have included data needs assessments, field program design, evaluation and integration of existing data, numerical model application, and agency negotiation.
Dr. Greenblatt has extensive involvement in CERCLA remedial investigations at large sediment sites. Her responsibilities have included design of sediment, water column, and bathymetric data collection programs and field sampling plans and data analysis integration within a geographic information system (GIS) to support site conceptualization, identify data gaps, and evaluate remedial alternatives. Dr. Greenblatt has experience as project manager, lead modeler and peer reviewer of complex modeling studies, and she has presented complex site data to a wide range of stakeholders, including technical committees, government agencies, and lay parties.
