Publications Manager
Ms. Monica Carstens is a technical writer and editor and manager of the Publications department. She has nearly 20 years of experience producing technical publications, including multivolume reports, technical memoranda, peer-reviewed manuscripts, proposals, and presentations. Most recently, these publications have been in the field of environmental science and risk assessment. As a specialist in technical composition and editing, Ms. Carstens is also proficient in production editing and coordinating the efforts of multiple cross-disciplinary authors on collaborative writing projects from conceptual stage through review cycles to final distribution. She has a reputation for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ms. Carstens also establishes procedures and policies for the Publications department to ensure intra- and interoffice consistency among staff producing written deliverable products. She is actively involved in developing and maintaining a suite of document templates and establishing writing guidelines for company-wide use.
