Integral Outlines Risk-Based Management Approach for West Nile Virus Control

Judi Durda, of our Annapolis, MD office cochaired a platform session at the annual meeting of the American Mosquito Control Association, held in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 3 – 7. The session highlighted the on-going efforts of Suffolk County, New York to develop a risk-based management strategy for control of West Nile virus and other mosquito-borne disease. Integral is conducting human health and ecological assessments of the risks of vector control pesticides to support the County’s efforts. Ms. Durda outlined an approach for developing a risk-based management program and presented preliminary results from the on-going risk assessment.
