Integral Principal Randi Wexler to Serve on ODSL Rulemaking Advisory Committee

January 09 2012

Randi Wexler, Principal Scientist and Regulatory Specialist at Integral Consulting, has been selected to serve on the Oregon Department of State Lands’ (ODSL) new Remediation Rulemaking Advisory Committee. The ODSL manages state-owned submerged and submersible land underlying numerous waterways throughout Oregon and within the Territorial Sea.

Ms. Wexler will be representing Associated Oregon Industries, a nonprofit group that is Oregon’s largest and most comprehensive business association. Because of her skills in regulatory negotiation and involvement in past environmental regulatory efforts, Ms. Wexler was selected as a committee member. The committee is tasked with developing a set of administrative rules to facilitate the sale or granting of authorizations for the use of state land for remediation and restoration activities. These rules will also address 1) how to value the land, and 2) what amounts of compensation are appropriate for various uses or the sale of the land. The administrative rules will be drafted for consideration and possible adoption by the State Land Board, and will be formally facilitated in order involve the public as much as possible in the rulemaking process.

With more than 25 years of experience as a regulatory specialist, Ms. Wexler has strong proficiency in regulatory affairs, environmental management system development, litigation support, compliance auditing, property transactions, and permitting. She has extensive experience with port and industrial projects, where she is responsible for analyzing and interpreting regulations and for conducting inspections for compliance with state and federal environmental regulations laws.
