Joining Integral’s Annapolis consultants are toxicologists
Jennifer Fleischer, Ph.D. and Joanna Shoenfelt, M.S. Both have excellent credentials and will help expand Integral’s specialization in this area.
Trained at Johns Hopkins University in biochemistry and molecular toxicology,
Dr. Fleischer is skilled in in vivo and in vitro research models, xenobiotic metabolism, study design, and critical data analysis. She has directed or assisted in toxicological evaluations for environmental contaminants, industrial chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, including carcinogens, teratogens, and endocrine disruptors. Dr. Fleischer also has extensive project management, quality control, and regulatory compliance experience and has authored or co-authored numerous research manuscripts largely in support of pharmaceutical development.
Ms. Shoenfelt has performed human health and environmental risk assessments of product and fragrance formulations under the EPA Design for the Environment (DfE) program. Her experience includes developing human health and environmental risk assessments of additives to drinking water distribution systems and treatment units. Ms. Shoenfelt has also performed initial and final toxicological reviews for products being evaluated under various National Science Foundation standards. She earned an M.S. in toxicology from the University of Maryland.
