Science and Engineering Firm Integral Consulting Inc. Announces Employee Promotions

SEATTLE, WA, April 23—Integral Consulting Inc., a national science and engineering consulting firm with practice areas in health, environment, technology, and sustainability, today announced several promotions within the company. The promotions include principal level and senior level scientists who have contributed to the firm’s success.

Dr. Lucinda Jacobs, Integral President and Principal Sediment Scientist, said the appointments were made to recognize staff contributions and talent, particularly given the challenging economic climate. “We recognize that our success depends on everyone—we are fortunate to have assembled an extremely talented group of individuals who have helped us grow the company through their unique abilities,” said Jacobs.

In turn, the company offers exceptional benefits and exciting opportunities for employee development. In 2008, the company expanded its environment and health services to include green sustainability and technology practices.

The principal and senior promotions include:
James Lape, Principal Environmental Scientist. A noted atmospheric scientist and risk assessor, Mr. Lape’s 20 plus years of experience spans many environmental science fields. His specialties include fate and transport modeling; air toxics health assessments for ambient and indoor environments; and site risk assessment for industrial chemicals, radionuclides, and asbestos. He has provided expert testimony on atmospheric modeling and exposure issues in state and federal courts.

Michael Ruby, Principal Scientist. Mr. Ruby is a consultant in site investigations and remediation, environmental forensics, and evaluations of human exposures to environmental contaminants. He is an internationally recognized expert on the oral and dermal bioavailability of metals, including arsenic, lead, and cadmium, and organic compounds, including dioxins/furans, PAHs, and PCBs, from soil.

Randi Wexler, Senior Managing Scientist. With more than 20 years of experience as a regulatory specialist, Ms. Wexler has strong proficiency in regulatory affairs, environmental management system development, litigation support, compliance auditing, property transactions, and permitting. She has extensive experience with port and industrial projects.

Other promotions include:
Priscilla Zieber, Managing Scientist; Mihai Aldea, Ph.D., Senior Scientist; Alice Wood Conovitz, Senior Scientist; Darcie Garland-Renn, Scientist; Carly McNeil, Associate Scientist.
