Law Firms

Environmental and health projects often include important technical and legal dimensions. Integral works with attorneys and law firms throughout the nation—either as clients or as part of a joint legal-technical team on behalf of another interested party—in the context of litigation and regulatory compliance.

We have extensive experience working with attorneys under a variety of regulatory programs, including CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, Brownfield programs, and various state programs. Integral scientists and regulatory specialists also have proven experience in developing strategies for interpreting new regulations; obtaining environmental permits; creating corporate environmental health and safety programs; responding to stakeholder information requests and agency inspections; designing approaches for acquisition of real estate and operating businesses; and responding to notices of noncompliance, notices of violation, criminal investigations, and legal complaints.

For litigation matters, our technical experts provide attorneys with the support they need to manage their cases effectively by conducting thorough research and analysis, developing clear and convincing written opinions and exhibits, and preparing carefully for deposition and trial testimony. Many of Integral’s senior staff members have served as expert witnesses on cases involving chemical risks to human health and the environment, natural resource injury, air quality issues, fate and transport of chemicals in the environment, source and timing of chemical releases, chemical fingerprinting, interpretation and conclusions of environmental investigations, and allocation of responsibility for past chemical releases to the environment.
